Special Events, Demonstrations & Workshops

All presentations and workshops on Student Days are tailored to the age and grade level of the students attending, and include the following:

  • Interview Sessions with Queen Elizabeth I
  • Full-Armored Jousting Tournaments
  • Math & Science Applications: Experiment with Historical Games & Rides
  • Pirate Invasions on the 65-foot Pirate Ship
  • Combat Demonstrations
  • Knighthood & Chivalry Discussions
  • Music Workshops: History of Music & Instruments
  • Meet & Greet with Local Villagers
  • Enriched History Programs

Math & Science From the Renaissance Period

Included in the newly revised Curriculum Enhancement Guide is a math and science section with sample problems and answers pertaining to the fundamentals of the human-powered rides and authentic games of skill found at the festival. Students will have the opportunity to hypothesize, make time and distance calculations, perform actual experiments and present conclusions using featured rides and games.
