Student Days Important Information
Helpful Guidelines
To enhance your visit and your students’ time at the festival, we offer the following rules and guidelines. We ask your cooperation so that Student Days is a pleasant experience for all.
- A ratio of 1 adult to 10 students is required. We ask that teachers and chaperones please stay with your students at all times and suggest that students, teachers and chaperones wear name tags with your school name included.
- If assistance is needed: Look for festival Staff members carrying a black radio, Police Officers, or festival Security Staff wearing gray shirts.
- Identify your vehicle: Please place a poster with your school name and teacher in the front window of each vehicle.
- All students and adults must be counted on the voucher and enter the gate together. Individual tickets will not be sold at the Box Office.
- Payment is required before entering: By check made payable to the Ohio Renaissance Festival or Purchase Order. If you are attending on a Purchase Order please make sure our office has it before you arrive.
- If you have not received a ticket voucher, or if you have any additions to make: Keep your students in a group with a greeter and have a representative from your school go to the ticket booth, obtain a voucher or pay for the additions and obtain a revised voucher and then follow the greeter’s instruction.
- If your count has decreased: Please enter the festival with your voucher and send a letter after October 3, 2009 to the festival office requesting a refund. Refunds are not given at the ticket booth. Please note: Lunch packages are not refundable after your attendance.
- No weapons will be permitted as part of costumes on Student Days.
- No food or beverage will be permitted inside the gate. Packed lunches may be consumed in the parking lot. Food and beverage items may be purchased at the festival or we offer the Royal Lunch Package which must be purchased in advance and is non-refundable.
- Students are not permitted to carry backpacks inside the gate. Only small purses, handbags, and belt bags approximately 6” x 9” will be permitted.
- Please be respectful of the performers and turn off electronic devices while attending a workshop or show.
- Be prepared for the weather. The festival operates rain or shine so please be prepared for the weather.
- Suggested meeting locations: Aleing Knight Pub, Lorelei, Rose & Crown eating area are just a few. Please do not select the Front Gate area as a meeting location for your students. This area becomes quite congested at peak arrival and departure times.
- First Aid is available for emergencies and is attended by an EMT. It is located near the Front Gate. Any staff member will direct you to the location. Please provide a cell phone number on your reservation form so we may reach you if a student has an emergency while visiting.
- Lost and Found items will be stored at Travelers Treasures located inside the Front Gate.
